Living in the 21st century, commuting is miserable enough as it is…
Traffic jams, crowded subways and trains, smelly buses, no leg room on planes.
Let’s be honest, everyone is still waiting for teleportation and supersonic jet liners.
But until then, we’re going to continue wasting time, energy, and money to get places we need to go.
Now I know that was a negative way to start off an article, but let’s face it…
How much time do you spend commuting?
According to CNBC, Americans are breaking increasing their times spent commuting every year.
As of 2018, the average American spends about 50+ minutes commuting a day or just about 4 and half hours commuting per week.
That’s nine full days a year.
Imagine if you could buy that time back?
What would do with nine full extra days every year?
But depending on your job, schedule, and proximity to your destination, there are ways to beat the commute.
In fact, one New Yorker was so tired of sitting in traffic all morning he decided to commute across the Hudson River in a kayak to his job!
